Fruited Iced Tea
Fruited iced tea is a refreshing combination of mint-flavoured tea and tropical fruit juice. Because it contains no caffeine, this recipe is also very suitable for not only children, but anyone who does not want the extra caffeine.
Ingredients:
- 2 peppermint tea bags
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 4 cups (1 litre) tropical fruit juice blend
Bring to boil approximately 3 cups (750 ml) of water. Add the two mint tea bags and steep for about 5 minutes. Add approx. 2 tablespoons of sugar. Stir in the fruit juice and chill.
Fruited Ice Cubes
What's iced tea without ice? For an added touch add some beautiful fruited ice cubes to your iced tea:
- Strawberries (or other berries)
- mint leaves
- tropical fruit juice
Remove the stems from the strawberries and cut them in half lengthwise. Place a strawberry half and a mint leaf into ice cube tray compartments. Pour fruit juice over the strawberries and allow to freeze completely (approx. 2 hrs.).
